STNA Course $400 USD

The State Tested Nursing Assistant Program is an Ohio Department of Health and Senior Services approved training program which consists of 75 hours of training. The program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and the basic skills training (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, exercising and more), including the fundamentals of how to check and monitor vital signs and deal with a wide range of physical, emotional, social, health and illness needs of various individuals of different age and cultural background. STNAs can advance their careers by pursuing either an LPN or RN Nursing Degree.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be age 16 years or older
  • Valid Government I.D. (Driver’s license, State issued I.D., Military I.D., or Passport)
  • Copy of Social Security Card
  • Physical Examination
  • 2-Step TB Skin Test
  • Ability to Read, Write & Comprehend on an 8th Grade Level
  • Ability to Communicate Clearly
  • Must be Physically Able to Perform Direct Care Tasks (assisting patients with lifting, bathing, walking, pulling, and pushing an occupied wheelchair or hoyer lift).

Medication Certification $125 USD

Students must be certified in Ohio as a Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide. The Program focuses on the knowledge and skills needed to accurately measure, administer, and document medications working with developmental disabilities. Upon successful completion of both the training program and State certification Medication Certification Exam, students will become a certified Medication Aide. Medication Aides can advance their careers by pursuing either an LPN or RN Nursing Degree.

Students must be certified in Ohio as a Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide, and have successfully completed the initial medication administration course to qualify for a renewal.

CPR/First Aide Course $55 USD

CPR (adult, child, and infant) and First Aid certification training for health care provider. The training course follows the latest American Heart Association guidelines and is nationally accredited and accepted. The training will cover emergency and potentially life-saving skills for new healthcare providers and experienced healthcare providers looking to renew their certification. Train-the-Trainer 28-Hour Course $575 USD

**NEW** The Train-The-Trainer Course will prepare qualified nurses to teach and coordinate Nurse Aide Training in Ohio. The program is approved through the Ohio Department of Health meeting all Standards defined by the Ohio Administrative Code.

 

Enrollment:
